The Plantations Piranhas are pleased to welcome John Ajamian as their new head coach. We'll get a real picture of him up as soon as we can.
John is a former Piranha/MCSL swimmer and has experience as both a pre-team and assistant coach. John is very excited about the opportunity to work with all of the kids this summer.
Hi Piranha Families! My name is Zack Callis and I am super excited to be your Assistant Coach! I grew up in Damascus and graduated from DHS in 2017 and attend McDaniel College pursuing a degree in Theatre Arts and American Sign Language. I swam for the Damascus Dolphins for 13 years and swam on the DHS Varsity Swim Team all four years and was a captain my senior year. When I’m not at the pool (which is a lot) I can be found driving around Damascus with my friends or outside by a fire during the night. Other hobbies include: theatre, listening to music and watching movies. I’m really an open book so if you have any questions, go ahead and ask!
Water has always played a huge role in my life, from being at the pool during the summer or on the beach, it has always been a constant. I hope that through coaching your children I can instill a love of water the same way my coaches did for me when I was younger. I look forward to an awesome season. Go Piranhas!
Hi! My name is Julia Tomlinson. I just finished my junior year at Damascus High School, where I played basketball and lacrosse. I joined the Plantations swim team when I was five years old and have loved it ever since. This season I will continue to swim on the team while also being a junior coach. My two younger brothers swim for the team as well. Matthew is 15 and Timmy is 11. My favorite stroke is backstroke but I like fly and IM too.
When swim team is over, I’m going on vacation with my family to Deep Creek Lake…our annual tradition! I love being around the pool and I’m looking forward to working with all the kids this year!
Hello, my name is Kaylor Stroot.
I am going into my first year of college at McDaniel after graduating from Brookewood School. I have been on the Piranhas swim team since I was in fourth grade.
I have a 14 year-old-sister and a 10 year-old-brother on the swim team too. I love backstroke and I can’t wait to be your junior coach this year! I will be here lifeguarding at P2 throughout the summer, but I will also be going to the west coast to meet my mom’s family and Maine to see my mom’s family also.
A few fun facts; I love traveling, art, and mac & cheese; I was born on February 29, 2000; and I am going to college to study to be a high school Chemistry and a Special Ed teacher.
