Spring has finally sprung, which means that the Plantations Piranhas 2019 swim season is just around the corner. With that in mind we’ve been busy prepping the website for action, making team swimsuit and apparel arrangements, finalizing our coaching staff, and preparing for another awesome swim season.

The PLT Piranhas homepage, celebrating its fourth year on the Swimtopia platform, can be found at http://pltswim.com.

A few pre-season notes about what’s happening on the site:

1. Registration - Opens May 1st

Registration for the 2019 season will open on May 1st through the portal on the team website. We’re pleased to offer electronic payment processing and online registration. By registering, you'll get access to a private account where you can declare your swimmers’ availability for meets, sign up for volunteer positions, RSVP to Piranhas social events, view your children’s swim time history, maintain your contact information, and more.

SPECIAL NOTICE: When registering this year, you'll be asked to provide T-shirt sizes for all of your swimmers. We’ll be providing team shirts for our athletes to wear at meets this season, so please make sure to enter your sizing information in the registration form.

The 2019 registration fee schedule remains unchanged from last year's: $150 for one swimmer, $225 for two swimmers, and $300 for three or more swimmers (family max). Please note that a service charge (2.9% plus 30 cents) will be added to your registration fee by our online payment vendor (WePay) at checkout. Sorry about that.

2. Team Calendar

The 2019 team calendar is now available on the website. Swim meets (both A and B), family events and other important dates are provided to help you plan your summer. Event specifics, additional team gatherings (Friday Frenzies, Pasta Pig Out, Beaver Dam, etc.) and supplemental details will be added to the calendar shortly. This year we will hosting three A-meets and two B-meets at our pool. 

Please note that the A Relay Carnival will be held on a Monday evening (July 1^st) this year instead of the traditional Sunday morning timeslot.

REMINDER: You can subscribe to the team calendar and add the Piranhas schedule to your PC or mobile device’s calendar app. By subscribing, you’ll automatically receive calendar updates straight to your phone, tablet, or computer. There is a small “Subscribe” link next to the heading on the team’s calendar page.. Click “Subscribe” for instructions on how to download the team calendar in a variety of formats (Google Calendar, Yahoo Calendar, Apple, Outlook, etc.)

3. Team Suits

NEW FOR THIS SEASON: In 2019 we’re trying something new for team suit purchases. We’ll be adding a link on our website portal to use for ordering your team suit, practice suits, goggles, and other swim gear online from our new vendor, SwimOutlet.com. You can also follow this link to be taken directly to the Piranhas page on the SwimOutlet site. The suits are less expensive than in past seasons, and the Piranhas will also receive a portion of the proceeds from the sales. Sizing procedures are included. Purchase your suits early so that you can handle any issues with sizing that may arise. 4. Team Apparel

NEW FOR THIS SEASON: We will have a link on our website portal for ordering team apparel for our awesome parents and Piranhas supporters. It will be available May 1st. You can purchase all of your Piranha gear prior to the season! 5. Team Coaches and Contacts Pages

Please take a moment to welcome the 2019 Coaching Staff and the expanded lineup of team reps and key contacts. Many old friends are returning to their positions and a slew of new faces are rounding out the roster. These pages provide a quick reference guide for who to reach out to with questions or comments for all things Piranha.
