    A Meet and Team Activity for Week of 1-7 July 2019

    PIRANHA FAMILIES ---

    A big shout out to all of our volunteers over the last week. It has been a very busy week with 4 meets in 8 days with 3 of those being at home. That requires a lot of effort from our volunteers!!! Everyone who helped out at the Relay Carnival it was much appreciated. And our concessions volunteers made the team over $1000 last week alone!!! Your hard work is what keeps this team rolling!

    WEEKLY MEET SCHEDULE:

    WHEN: Saturday, July 6th, @ 9am, Warm-ups @ 8:25am

    WHERE: Norbeck Grove, 18309 Wickham Road, Olney, MD 20832

    WHO: Norbeck Grove Barracudas

    PARKING: They do not have a big parking lot at their clubhouse, but there is a second lot if you continue down Wickham Road past the first entrance.

    TEAM AREA: Big Grassy area past the pool on the left (we were there last year); bring a pop-up tent and chairs as the grass will likely be wet, and there is no shade.

    DECLARE YOUR SWIMMERS:Please declare your swimmer as either AVAILABLE or NOT-AVAILABLE by 9pm, Wednesday, July 3rd.The lineup will be put together on Thursday!

    WEAR YOUR PIRANHA TEAM SHIRT AND ACCESSORIZE WITH SOME RED, WHITE, and BLUE!!!

    TEAM ACTIVITIES:

    1. Tuesday, July 9th: Lunch and a Movie

    MOVIE: Toy Story 4 @ 1250pm, Regal Cinemas Germantown

    LUNCH: TBD (I've been told Chik-Fil-A is having a special that day so we may need to pick another spot)

    MOVIE TICKETS: Recommend you purchase your tickets in advance to ensure you have a seat.

    RSVP: Please RSVP on the web-site so we can have a count of how many we have going

    2. TEAM SPIRIT WEAR:A second round of Spirit Wear purchasing has been opened up on line and orders will be taken through Sunday, July 7th at midnight.  If we have enough orders, the order will be placed on Monday, July 8th.Orders will likely come in around the Divisional time frame, but if you like this years fashions and want to display your Piranha Pride all year long this is your last chance to get this years styles.  We cannot guarantee that the offerings this year will be available next year, although we will try and make that happen as much as possible.

    3.PIRANHA Pre-team Meet:

    WHEN: Friday, July 12th @ 9:30am

    WHERE: Plantations Pool

    WHAT: Boys and Girls 25 freestyle, 25 backstroke, 25m kickboard, and combined 100m relay.See the coaches to let them know your pre-teamer will participate.

    4. Beaver Dam Outing, Thursday, July 18th

    DETAILS:Gates open at 11am and Close at 6:30pm; $14 for adults, $10 11u – CASH ONLY (Tell them you are with Plantations Swim Team)
