    A-Meet Reminders and Details

    Piranha Parents —-

    If the computer worked right, you are receiving this e-mail because you have a swimmer in the A-Meet on Saturday morning.  Here is what you need to know:

    1. Arrival, Report In, and Warm-ups

    CHALK IT UP: Will start at 7:30am outside the gate.

    REPORT-IN: ALL swimmers to arrive no later than 7:45am and report in with Coach Julia!  All swimmers are to be seated in our team area on the far-side of the pool.

    WARM-UPS:  Piranhas warm-up from 8:00-8:20am

    2. There are relays at the end of the meet that take the top two free-style swimmers in each age group.  Coach Julia will notify you if you are in those relays at halftime of the meet.  DO NOT LEAVE THE MEET EARLY WITHOUT NOTIFYING COACH JULIA AND ONE OF THE TEAM REPS.

    3. Volunteers: I want to thank everyone for signing up to volunteer.  I have two more positions I need filled;

         A. Ice Supplier -  The only duty is to deliver 3-4 bags of ice to concessions by 8am.

         B. Heat Marshall -  This volunteer directs the next heat of swimmers to the start line for each heat.  This volunteer will make sure the meet continues to move along efficiently.  Either a Team Rep or Volunteer Coordinator will be with you for the first few heats to ensure you understand the flow we are looking for!

         C. This morning we needed 1-2 more people at concessions, but those spots may have been filled by now.  Please go in and a volunteer for a remaining position if you can.

         D. I have the Hughes family helping, but anyone else who wants to help me set up the pool for the meet can arrive between 6:45 and 7:00am.  I’d like to have everything set up by 7:30am when the Quail Valley Team Rep arrives so we can point him to his team area.

    4. New stroke and turn officials.  If one or two of our new stroke and turn officials would like to shadow a stroke and turn official during this meet please let me know and I will coordinate that activity.  Quail Valley is also shadowing.

    5. COVID-19 protocols - NO SPECTATORS PERMANENTLY ON THE DECK.  Only swimmers, meet officials and volunteers will be allowed on deck. All other spectators can view the meet from outside the fence and then enter through the gate to the viewing area to watch their swimmer in each of their events.  See the attached schematic for details.  Spectators may also enter to use the rest rooms and go to concessions.  Tape will clearly mark the allowed areas.  No parents/spectators are allowed in the team areas.  Again, we recommend non-vaccinated individuals wear masks for their own safety.

    See you tomorrow AM!!

    GO PIRANHAS!!!
