I apologize for not having the A-Meet information out yesterday, but I did not hear from the host team until this afternoon and there is a lot of important information to pass along and I need you to read and review all of it!

WEEKLY MEET SCHEDULE:

1. MUST READ ABOUT THIS WEEK'S MEET

a. ILLNESS CONSIDERATIONS:  New Mark Commons has had a number of swimmer's this week who have been out sick.  They have undergone testing and none of them have tested positive for either Strep or COVID and none of their symptoms are COVID type symptoms.  However, they have run low-grade fevers (less the 100-degree fevers).  No swimmer who is, or feels, ill will participate in the meet, and that includes anyone on our team per the waiver you signed this season.  There is the possibility the meet will be cancelled.  They postponed their B-Meet out o an abundance of caution.  If you do not feel you would be comfortable participating after reading  the above and checking out their COVID plans for the meet, please let myself or Julia know as soon as possible.  We will completely understand.

b. This will likely be a LONG meet.  Both teams will be seated outside the pool (See attachment) and we will be far from the other team.  This is likely to slow down the pace at which the meet is conducted.  I will need swimmers to be very prepared to get to clerk of course for their events.  All swimmers should bring a chair to sit on in the team area.

c. There will be NO spectators on deck.  You can sit and stand outside the fence.

d. All people on deck will be masked and swimmers are to bring a ziplock bag with their name to place their mask and small towel.  See the attached for more details and the meet layout.

2. A- Meet:

WHEN: Saturday, June 26th @ 9am; warm-ups at 8:05am-8:45am (Coach Julia may break warm-ups into two sessions and we will let you know). Arrive by 7:50am and Check-in with Coach Julia or Coach Sara in our team area (see attached).

WHERE: New Mark Commons; 607 Tegner Way; Rockville, MD 20850

WHO: New Mark Commons Barracudas

PARKING: Parking is very limited.  See the attached for street parking options.  Recommend that you try and carpool to the greatest extent practical.

DECLARE YOUR SWIMMERS: Please go on-line and declare your swimmers either AVAILABLE or NOT AVAILABLE for the meet. 

VOLUNTEER: While you are declaring your swimmer is AVAILABLE, SIGN-UP to volunteer for a position at this week's meet.

MEET LINE-UP: The meet line-up will be posted Friday, June, 25th.

1. PRACTICE:

Practice continues Friday via the following schedule:

a. NO PRE-TEAM PRACTICE ON FRIDAY!!.

b. 10 and under: 9:30-10:30am

c. 11-18 years: 8:00-9:30am
