Good morning!  I spoke with New Mark’s Representative and Head Coach this morning and they have shared information from an anonymous survey they performed this week.  It appears that 16 of their swimmers have had a 48-hour type bug that has resolved in two days.  They have had 14 negative COVID tests and 6 negative strep tests.  That being said,  They are concerned about over-reaction to the situation, but in this environment everyone needs to be as safe as possible.  I know there I are many who have either decided not to participate or are on the fence.

We have the following options:

1. Hold the meet as planned

2. Hold the meet virtually (swim at our own pools)

3. Cancel the meet

I am leaning toward option 2.  Although I don’t like the idea of a virtual meet, I feel it provides the least risk to our team and season going forward, and will allow our team to be at full strength and result in the most fair results.  I will try and send a survey to assess your thoughts on this, but if you have any immediate thoughts please let me know.
