Piranha Families ---

Good afternoon everyone!!  We had a great B-Meet last night with Quail Valley!! A lot of swimmers posted some fast times, and we had a number of our younger swimmers successfully attempting events for the first time, which was great to see!!!

1. CONGRATULATIONS:  We had three swimmers, Andrew Klein, AJ Navaleza, and Nic Santorelli compete in the Coach's Invitation Long Course Meet on Tuesday night.  This is a meet for those swimmers in the Top 8 of the MCSL in each stroke in each age group.  Andrew (13-14) finished 3rd in IM and 5th in backstroke while cutting time in each event.  AJ (15-18) finished 4th in breaststroke, and Nic (19) finished FIRST in both free and backstroke.  Way to go gentlemen.

2. FRIDAY FRENZY - We will be holding our second Frenzy at practice tomorrow, Friday July 16th.  The practice schedule is:

8:30-9:30 - Practice all age-groups except pre-team

9:30- 10:15 - Water polo

3. A-Meet:

WHEN: Saturday, July 17th, 9am. Warm-ups at 8:00am; Check in with Coach Julia and Coach Sara by 7:50am.

WHERE: Plantations II Pool

WHO: Norbeck Hills

DECLARE YOUR SWIMMERS:  Please go in and declare whether your swimmers are available for this meet. Coach Julia is making out the lineup today and we need to know if your swimmer will be available for the meet!

CHALK IT UP: 7:30am come and decorate the entrance with your best chalk drawings!!

VOLUNTEERS:  We still need some volunteers for Saturday, which is our last home dual meet of the season, and one of your last chances to check off that volunteer box for the season!!!  At last check we needed a few key positions like 1 stroke and turn official and a clerk of course volunteer.  When you sign your kids up, go and check out the volunteer opportunities!!!  Those of you who have already volunteered, please see Shannon Dietrich when you arrive to check in!

SPECTATORS:  Still outside please.  You can come in to watch your kids races and go to concessions as usual!

4. DIVISIONALS:  We will be hosting 2 teams at our pool next Saturday, July 24th at 9am.  More details to follow.

5. BANQUET: We will be having our end of year banquet on Saturday, July 24th starting at 4pm and going to 8pm.  The rain date for this event will be Sunday, July 25th.  Banquet details will follow in a separate e-mail as well.
