PIRANHA FAMILIES —- We have arrived at the last week of the season, which promises to be extraordinarily busy.  Details about the B-Meet, Divisionals, Change in Practice Schedule, and Banquet are included below, 

THIS WEEK:

1. Final B- Meet:

WHEN: Wednesday, July 21st @ 6pm. Swimmers arrive by 5:05pm and check in with Coach Julia. Warm-ups will start at 5:20pm

SIGN UP: Please make sure to sign your swimmers up by 6pm Monday. If you wish to make changes Tuesday or Wednesday, please e-mail Coach Julia at [email protected].

Eligibility Guidelines:

Swimmers may sign up for as many events as they want as long as they didn’t swim that event in the A meet, with the exception of freestyle. Swimmers can swim freestyle at the B meet as long as they placed outside the top 6 in freestyle if they swam it in the A meet.

You cannot swim any event you have an all star time in.

A swimmer should not sign up for a stroke the my are not legal in. See the coach if you have a question.

A swimmer cannot swim the B meet in any stroke for which they are usually an A meet swimmer, but missed this past weekends A meet.

VOLUNTEER: We will definitely need volunteers!!! When you sign your swimmers up, take a look and volunteer to help us out!!! We need Stroke and Turn Officials, a few people to bring tents, and a few other positions.

2. PRACTICE SCHEDULE:

This Wednesday, July 21st will be the LAST DAY of regular practices for the swim team this year.  Monday through Wednesday we have morning practice using the following schedule:

8:00-9:30am: 11-18 year olds

9:30-10:30am: 10 and under

10:30-11:00am: Pre-team

Tuesday afternoon:

5:45-6:45pm: Practice for all ages (other than pre-team) that miss morning practice. Please let us know if you plan on attending afternoon practice so we can have the correct amount of coaches available.

AS OF THURSDAY, July 22nd, practice will be for Divisional Swimmers only.  We will announce the schedule for Thursday and Friday practice later this week.

3. DIVISIONALS: Saturday, July 24th at Home vs. North Creek and New Mark Commons at 9am.  More details will follow after Divisional line-ups and Division L Representatives meet on Monday, July 19th.  We will need a member of every family who has a swimmer in the meet to volunteer.  

4. DIVISIONAL SHIRTS: Divisional shirts are on sale now for $20, until Wednesday, July 21st. If your swimmer is likely to swim Divisionals and would like a shirt I recommend you order early as supplies in each size will be limited. See the web-site for details.

5. AWARDS AND "BANQUET": We are planning for our annual end of season awards on the evening of Saturday, 24 July 2021 (Rain Date Sunday, July 25th) from 4pm - 8pm.  We will start promptly at 4pm with a video presentation, season review, and then we will dive right into the awards.  We will be gathering on the grass so bring chairs, blankets, bug spray, pop-up tents, and your own picnic dinner to enjoy while we celebrate the season.  After the awards are completed we will adjourn to the pool for swimming for fun!!!
