After several false starts, it’s looking like Spring might actually happen. The weather is getting warmer, the days are getting longer, and pretty soon we’ll be kicking off the PLT Piranhas 2023 season. Hard to believe it’s been nine months since the team rocked Divisionals last July. With the promise of another awesome season ahead, we’ve been quietly prepping the website for action.

The PLT Piranhas homepage, celebrating its eighth year on the SwimTopia platform, can be found at http://pltswim.com. We're pleased to welcome Kurt Panchura to the Piranhas Web Team this year; Kurt will be learning the ropes this summer and will take ownership of the team site in 2024. (Thanks, man.)

A few pre-season notes about what’s happening on the site:

1. Registration - Opens May 1st

Registration for the 2023 season will open on May 1st through the portal on the team website. We’re pleased to offer electronic payment processing and online registration. By registering, you'll get access to a private account where you can declare your swimmer's availability for meets, sign up for volunteer positions, RSVP to Piranhas social events, view your children’s swim time history, maintain your contact information, and more.

The 2023 registration fee schedule remains unchanged from last year's: $170 for one swimmer, $255 for two swimmers, and $340 for three or more swimmers (family max). Please note that a service charge will be added to your registration fee by our online payment vendor (Stripe) at checkout. Sorry about that.

2. The 2023 team calendar is now available on the website. 

Swim meets (both A and B), Friday Frenzies, team outings, family events and other important dates are provided to help you plan your summer. Event specifics and supplemental details will be added to the calendar throughout the season. As mentioned at Thursday night's Virtual Parents Meeting, plans for several social events for the kids (and for parents) are in the works.

You can subscribe to the team calendar and add the Piranhas schedule to your PC or mobile device’s calendar app. By subscribing, you’ll automatically receive calendar updates straight to your phone, tablet, or computer. There is a small “Subscribe” link next to the heading on the team’s calendar page.. Click “Subscribe” for instructions on how to download the team calendar in a variety of formats (Google Calendar, Yahoo Calendar, Apple, Outlook, etc.).

3. Team Coaches and Contacts Pages

Please take a moment to welcome the 2023 Coaching staff and the expanded lineup of team reps and key contacts. Many old friends are returning to their positions and a slew of new faces are rounding out the roster. These pages provide a quick reference guide for who to reach out to with questions or comments for all things Piranha. As always, VOLUNTEERS ARE WELCOMED.
