PIRANHA FAMILIES —

The full week continues with B-Relay Carnival @ Quail Valley, Bowling, A-meet @ Long Branch, Piranha Relays Sunday, and Divisional T-Shirt.

We had a great meet tonight. Thanks to everyone for helping out. We kept it moving and finished a little before 9:00! Way to go, everyone!

MEET THEMES: This week's theme for the B-relay is Country Western, and the A-meet is Crazy Hat!

WEEK/WEEKEND SCHEDULE:

1. B-Relay Carnival:

WHEN: Thursday, July 13

WHERE: Quail Valley - 18701 Quail Valley Blvd, Gaithersburg, MD 20879

WHO: All of the B-meet teams

MEET TIMING:

a. SWIMMERS: Swimmers arrive by 5:15pm and check in with Coach Nic and Coach Linx. Warm-ups will start at 5:30 pm and last only 15 minutes.

b. VOLUNTEERS:

ARRIVAL: Please show up with your swimmers and check in with the volunteer coordinators.

OFFICIALS: Need to be on-site by 5:15 pm for the Officials Briefing. Please be on time so we can stay on schedule.

PARKING: Only cars with parking passes are allowed to park in the pool lot. Please find parking on the street.

TEAM AREA: will be located on the far side of the pool by the deep end (driving board) next to the announcer, we are in area #3.

2. BOWLING:

WHEN: Friday, July 14, from 4-6pm.

WHERE: Mount Airy Lanes 304 Center St, Mt Airy, MD 21771

This event is for the kids only and costs $17 per child! Price includes shoe rental and unlimited bowling. Children 10 and under will need an adult to stay with them to supervise. Please RSVP Here by Wednesday. You can still come if you don't RSVP, but it will help us know how many lanes to reserve.

3 . A- Meet:

WHEN: Saturday, July 15 @ 9 am at Long Branch 8700 Piney Branch Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20912;

WHERE: Long Branch Pool 8700 Piney Branch Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20912

Parking is available in the pool lot in any space not bearing a restricted designation (pool staff, handicap, fire lane, no parking etc.). Please ensure you are not parking in a restricted spot because you will be towed if you do so.

The parking lot should be sufficient for both our teams, but if anyone on the team cannot find a spot in the pool lot, additional parking is available in the Long Branch Library lot off Garland Avenue (accessed via Arliss Street) as indicated in the picture below, as well as in the neighborhood behind the library along Walden Rd. There is a path with a footbridge connecting the pool and library. It takes just a few minutes to walk between the two.

ARRIVE: Plan to arrive between 7:50-8:00 am and meet OUTSIDE the pool; make sure to check in with the coaches. We plan to enter the pool together at 8:10 am and head to our Team Area, which is at the far end of the pool behind the heat chairs

THEME: CRAZY HAT

WARM-UP: Our warm-ups are 8:20-8:40am

VOLUNTEER: While you are declaring your swimmer is AVAILABLE, SIGN-UP to volunteer for a position at this week's meet.

Concessions accept cash, PayPal, and Zelle.

MEET LINE-UP: The meet line-up will be posted Friday, July 14.

4. Piranha Relays:

WHEN: Sunday, July 16,

WHERE: Piranha Pool

WHO: Piranha Team (everyone, including pre-team!)

Arrive @ 8:25, warm-ups @ 8:30, start time @ 9:00

5. Divisional T-Shirt

Please note that:

• Each shirt requires a separate entry. If you are ordering more than one shirt, please submit a NEW form for each item.
• You will pay your team rep for your shirt. The shirts will be delivered to your team rep on the deck at divisionals for distribution.
• We strongly suggest that you order early to ensure your size is available.
• Shirts may be available on the day of divisional, but sizing and quantities will be limited.
• Pre-Orders are due by 7/19/2023.
