    Divisonal and Banquet

    Hello Pirnahas,

    Here is everything you need to know about divisional and the banquet.

    1) Divisional-

    Where: Lake Marion

    When: Saturday, 7/20. Please arrive at 6:45- Warm-ups are at 7:05 (I know, it is an early morning)

    Theme: Piranha Pride

    Parking: The pool parking lot will only be available for those with a parking pass. Overflow parking will be available in 3 lots close to the pool and on a few local streets. Refer to the linked slideshow (which shows a picture of the pool showing team areas).

    • Edward A. DeSimon Recreation Area (8600 East Village Avenue)

    Team area: We will be in team area 5 (same spot as B-relays)

    What to bring: Tents and Chairs (extra chairs are limited)

    2) Banquet:

    WHAT: End-of-Year Banquet and Pool Party!!!! We'll have dinner, awards, and recognitions from 5 to 7 p.m. and then a pool party from 7 to 9 p.m. AMGC will sponsor our pool party, and lifeguards will be provided from 7 to 9 p.m.

    WHEN: Saturday, 7/20, 5-9 pm, Rain date Sunday, 7/21, 5-9 pm

    WHERE: Plantations Pool - Dinner and Awards outside. Pool Party inside. We will sit in a grassy area, so remember to bring bug spray!

    WHO: Everyone on the pre-team, swim team, and their families!

    HOW: To join the fun, just sign-up/RSVP on the team website by Tonight Thursday 7/18, and please indicate how many people are attending from your family. The cost is $20 per family and we ask that you bring a salad, side dish, or dessert. (We are providing the main course - Maggi’s pizza - Cheese and Pepperoni.) Please send payment via Venmo to @PLTSwim note that it is for the Banquet or give me cash in an envelope with your name.

    VOLUNTEER: We need volunteers to help us set up and clean up afterward. I am looking for 5 people to help set up at 4 p.m., but more hands make light work. As usual, simply sign up online. The set-up crew plans to arrive no later than 4 p.m. to start getting ready. I’ll let you know if there is any change to this time.

    WHAT TO BRING:

    1. PIRANHAS GIVE BACK: Once again, the Piranhas are proud to give back to our community by collecting donations for Damascus HELP, our local food bank. At this time of the year, they are in desperate need of items!

    We have been so fortunate to enjoy a wonderful swim season, so please consider bringing a donation to the banquet to help support the many less fortunate kids and families in our community. Please see our team website or Damascushelp.org for a list of items they need or consider donating a gift certificate from Weis or Safeway. Just bring your item to the banquet on Saturday and place on the “Damascus HELP Piranhas Give Back” Table.

    2. Lawns/camping chairs, Pop-Up tents. It will be hot in the sun and you will need the seat and shade!! We will put up the team tents, but that will not be enough for all, so if you have a tent and want to sit in comfort please bring it.

    3. Salad, Side dish, or Dessert:

    A-I families bring a salad

    J-R families bring a side dish

    S-Z families bring a dessert (please avoid nuts)

    PLEASE AVOID DISHES WITH NUTS DUE TO FOOD ALLERGIES ON THE TEAM.

    4. Adults BYOB if you desire. NO adult beverages in the pool area.

    5. Water: We will make all of the leftover water, soda, and Gatorade supplies available free of charge during the Banquet. Please bring your own water bottle, just in case.
