Week 3A recap and updates
Hello Piranha Parents,
Great job to all of our swimmers today! We lost a close one to West Hillandale—just 25 points—but our team showed incredible heart and effort. We’re so proud of the swims we saw and the determination on display.
It’s always tough to win meets when we don’t have our fastest lineup available, and today just wasn’t our day. That said, we truly appreciate all the families who prioritize and plan around our meet schedule—your dedication and support mean a great deal to the coaching staff.
A special shout-out goes to Autumn B., Julia F., and Oaklee B. for stepping up and filling in for teammates who were out sick. Way to go!
I’d also like to recognize our All-Star Achieving Swimmers—these athletes have qualified for consideration in the MCSL All-Star Meet and are now ranked among the fastest swimmers in the county (out of thousands!).
All-Star Qualifiers:
- Ben C. – 25 Free
- Alex R. – 25 Breast
- Rebecca Z. – 100 IM, 50 Free, 50 Fly
- Andrew K. – 100 IM, 100 Free, 50 Fly
- Joseph G. – 50 Breast
- Leilah G. – 50 Breast
Looking Ahead:
Our next event is the B Meet this Wednesday. While we don’t have an opponent, we have a fun night planned—including a Preteam Kickboard Race at halftime and a Parent Race!
If your swimmer is on preteam and would like to participate, please declare their availability. Sign-ups close Monday at 5 PM.
Also, a reminder that A Relay sign-ups close tonight at 9 PM. I’ll begin working on relay lineups tomorrow and plan to send out a tentative lineup by Monday afternoon.
Lastly, thank you all so much for the birthday wishes! I can’t think of a better way to spend my 25th birthday (again) than with my favorite people.
Go Piranhas
