Time Trials Recap
Dear Swim Team Families,
We want to take a moment to tell you how proud we are of all of our swimmers for their efforts at Time Trials today. The hard work they have put in during practices was on full display, and it was great to see everyone racing, supporting their teammates, and representing our team so well. Whether it was their first swim meet experience or they were setting new personal bests, every swimmer should be proud of what they accomplished. (Results attached at the bottom)
This week, we are in full swing, getting our swimmers ready to compete in real meets, practicing our starts, turns, staying on our backs in backstroke, and getting legal in all strokes. If any parent or swimmer has any questions about DQs email a coach or talk to us after or between practice times. We are always open and love to chat with parents, however please refrain from doing so while we are coaching your swimmers. Thank you!
This year, we are trying out Bigs and Littles! It's a great way for the team to connect throughout all age groups. Age groups 10 and under will all be LITTLES, 13 and up will be BIGS, and the 11/12 age group will be mixed in as our MIDDLES! Look out for an email in the coming days about who swimmers will be partnered up with to cheer on this season!
Our first dual meet is coming up on Saturday, June 13th. In order for our coaches to create the lineup and enter swimmers into events, all swimmers must declare their availability for the meet. Swimmers who are not declared cannot be entered into the meet.
Thank you for your continued support of our team. We are excited for a great season ahead and look forward to seeing everyone at the meet next Saturday!
Go piranhas!
