Who Can Participate?

• B-Meet Swimmers: Anyone not asked to swim in the Saturday A-meet can participate in the Wednesday night B-meet.
• A-Meet Swimmers: You can participate in the Wednesday B-meet, but only in events you did not swim on Saturday.

Swimmer Eligibility Rules

• No Duplicate Events: If you swim an event in the A-meet, you cannot swim that same event in the following B-meet (except for freestyle).
• Off-Strokes: A swimmer may swim any of their off-strokes in the B-meet, regardless of how many events they swam on Saturday.
• No Event Limits: The A-meet stroke limit does not apply. A B-swimmer can swim up to all five events if they wish. This ensures every swimmer gets a chance to swim each stroke once a week.
• Missed Meets: Regular A-swimmers who miss a Saturday meet are still not eligible to swim their normal strokes in the following B-meet.
• All-Star Times: Any swimmer with an MCSL “All Star” time in a stroke is barred from swimming that stroke in a B-meet, even as an off-stroke.

The Freestyle Exception

• A swimmer can swim freestyle in a B-meet as long as they did not place 1st through 6th in the previous Saturday A-meet (they are eligible if they finished 7th through 12th, or did not score).

How to Sign Up

Sign-ups are voluntary but highly encouraged! Every Saturday afternoon, a new event will open on our website. Simply log in, click on the meet name, and follow the instructions to enter your child.

The responsibilities for this role include:

• Communication: Emailing the opposing team for home meets and replying to them for away meets.
• Coordination: Working with coaches, automation, and the volunteer coordinator to ensure all volunteers are ready.
• Event Support: Handling the setup and takedown for the meets.
• Gear: You also get a team rep shirt

Since my child is not swimming in B-meets this year, managing this role adds five extra meets to my schedule. I would truly appreciate someone stepping up to take this on!
