Hi Piranha Families:

Here is the info for Divisionals. The meet will be held at North Creek (again!)

20125 Arrowhead Rd, Montgomery Village, MD 20886

Since we are closest to the pool, we get first warm-ups which are from 6:45 - 7:05 am. Meet starts at 8 am. I know that's early but you'll have no trouble parking! Keep in mind that the coaches start getting nervous around 7:30--so if you are running late, please be there and check in by 7:30.

Attached is the team area layout. We are in section 3, (near clerk of course) which might get a little bit of morning shade. It's supposed to be scorchingly hot--we will have a cooler of water and Gatorade for our swimmers, parents and families. Also, they are going to open up the pool at halftime for anyone who wants to get in and cool off. I'll bring the two team canopy tents--we could probably use one or two more.

VOLUNTEER: We still need volunteers for our away meet and this is the last one of the season! Please consider signing up to volunteer when you declare your swimmer/s.

Eligibility Guidelines:

Your swimmer may swim if:

• They did not place 1-6 in freestyle in Saturday's A Meet.
• They may swim any stroke they did not swim in Saturday's A Meet.

WHEN: Wednesday, July 10th @ 6pm, Warm-ups are at 5:20pm, Please arrive and check-in with Coach John by 5:10pm

WHERE: Quail Valley Pool, 18701 Quail Valley Blvd, Gaithersburg, MD 20879

PARKING: Quail Valley has a fairly large lot. However, if you cannot find a spot in the lot, park along Quail Valley Blvd. Please DO NOT park in the neighborhoods surrounding the pool, There should be plenty of room along Quail Valley Blvd.

TEAM AREA: We are usually located to the right as you enter the pool area.

VOLUNTEER: We are still looking for a few timers and a stroke and turn judge. Cyndi Gregory will be reaching out to families with swimmers entered in the meet to volunteer for some of these remaining positions..

PARKING: They do not have a big parking lot at their clubhouse, but there is a second lot if you continue down Wickham Road past the first entrance.

TEAM AREA: Big Grassy area past the pool on the left (we were there last year); bring a pop-up tent and chairs as the grass will likely be wet, and there is no shade.

DECLARE YOUR SWIMMERS:Please declare your swimmer as either AVAILABLE or NOT-AVAILABLE by 9pm, Wednesday, July 3rd.The lineup will be put together on Thursday!

The Division L Relay Carnival is Monday evening, July 1st at Washingtonian Woods (511 Midsummer Dr; Gaithersburg, 20878). Here are some of the details you need to know:

1. WARM-UPS: Plantations Warm-ups are scheduled for 6pm. Please plan to arrive and check-in with Coach John by 5:50pm. Our team location is included on one of the attached files. As you enter the pool area we will be on the left side of the pool. Bring two canopies for shade. Meet starts at 6:30pm.

2. Parking: Parking at Washingtonian Woods is very limited. There are only six spots for us in the pool lot. I have designated those spots for some of our families who are volunteering at the meet (I will notify those who I have parking passes for). The rest of you will need to park down the street or around the corner. SEE ATTACHED DIAGRAM. DO NOT park in the lot for the condominiums right next to the pool. You will be towed. If you park around the corner there is a path to the pool that is less than 1/4 mile. I would plan to arrive early to give yourself plenty of time to park and get to the meet.

3. Officials and Timers: I have the following people assigned.

Stroke and Turn: Rob Klein

Side Take off Judge: Casey Scace

Timers: Kevin Lynch, Liem Truong, Steve Douglas

Announcer: Tom Stroot

Automation: Mary Stroot

Clerk: Melissa Howell (this will be done by committee)

Runner: Julia Khouri (this can be anyone I had to give them a name)

Awards: Someone attending will be volunteered

Far-end take off judge: 4 events only (someone attending will be volunteered)

The schedule for meetings is attached. Please check in with Rosie Tomlinson when you get there as I may not be attending tomorrow night.

4. Coaches and Parents Relay: They are having them. Parents I'm looking for volunteers for the parents relay!!! Bring your suit if you think you would participate in the parents relay!
