    So of course I pulled the plug on tonight and it did not rain, which means it definitely will tomorrow. In case it does not, we have the pool from 8-10pm for open Piranha and family swim. We hope to see you there and we will provide a snack for the kids. We will start the evening with a 15 minute slide show Mr. Navaleza put together, it is fantastic. We will keep pictures rolling throughout the night.

    In the melee tonight I forgot to mention one thing, and that is our parent support. If you looked around at every meet, you saw a ton of Piranha parents there and supporting our team. It was amazing every single meet! I can’t stress enough the involvement of our parents and GRANDparents!!! It is what makes this little team so special.

    I hope everyone had a great experience and will be back next season. We love every member of the Piranha family.

    Thanks to the Hughes, Farina, Woodward, Flynn, Patton and other families that helped clean up in an urgent fashion tonight. We hope to see you all tomorrow night.

    Coaches, I have one request: a picture with the four of you tomorrow. You made this season special in so many ways! Thank you so much!

    Team Banquet

    WHAT: End of Year Banquet and Pool Party!!!! We'll have dinner, awards, and recognitions from 6PM to 8PM and then a pool party from 8PM until 10PM. The team will be paying for lifeguards from 8pm-10pm to ensure swimming is conducted safely.

    WHEN: Saturday, July 23th at 6PM. / RAIN DATE: Sunday, July 24th at 6PM.

    WHERE: Plantations Pool - Dinner and Awards outside. Pool Party inside. We will be sitting in a grassy area, so remember to bring bug spray!

    WHO: Everyone on the PRE-team, A & B teams, and their families! HOW: To join the fun, just sign-up/RSVP on the team website by Tuesday 7/19, and please indicate how many people are attending from your family. The cost is $25 per family and we ask that you bring a side dish or dessert. (We are providing the main course.) Please send payment via Venmo to Mike Gregory @mikerun31 (Code: 0638). Please note that it is for the Banquet when you submit payment.

    VOLUNTEER: We need volunteers to: (1) help us set up and clean up afterwards; (2) bring ice for the beverages; (3) bring side dishes and desserts. As usual, simply sign up on line. Set up crew plan to arrive no later than 5pm to start getting ready. I’ll let you know if there is any change to this time.

    WHAT TO BRING: 

    1. Lawns/camping chairs, Pop-Up tents. It will be hot in the sun and you will need the seat and shade!!

    2. Side dish or Dessert: Dessert (Last Name A-H) or Side dish (last name I-Z). PLEASE AVOID DISHES WITH NUTS DUE TO FOOD ALLERGIES ON THE TEAM.

    3. Adults BYOB if you desire. NO adult beverages in the pool area.

    4. Water: It’s going to be very hot so make sure you plan accordingly, and bring necessary water. We will provide the Main Course from Ledo Pizza with leftover sodas and water. 

    5. PIRANHAS GIVE BACK: We are going to collect donations for Damascus Help, which in these inflationary times is desperately in need. We have been so fortunate to enjoy a wonderful swim seasons, so please consider bringing a donation to the banquet to help the team support the many less fortunate families in our community. Here is a current list of items that are in need:

    We got a great team area on the right half of the baseball court near the back of the pool.

    WHO: Only the top two in each event qualify to swim. I see all our swimmers' hard work and wish I could put more kids in the meet. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come to cheer and support the team!

    Please only pay for swimmers to play. Adults will just be supervising. Swimmers 11+ can be dropped off. Swimmers 10 & under will need an adult chaperone. 

    There is a 72 person cap to this event, so sign up early. Food and drink is available for purchase onsite.

    Eligibility Guidelines:

    Swimmers may sign up for as many events as they want as long as they didn’t swim that event in the A meet, with the exception of freestyle. Swimmers can swim freestyle at the B meet as long as they placed outside the top 6 in freestyle if they swam it in the A meet.

    You cannot swim any event you have an all star time in.

    A swimmer should not sign up for a stroke the my are not legal in. See the coach if you have a question.

    A swimmer cannot swim rhe B meet in any stroke for which they are usually an A meet swimmer, but missed this past weekends A meet.

    VOLUNTEER: We will definitely need volunteers!!! When you sign your swimmers up, take a look and volunteer to help us out!!!

    Gates open at 11 AM and close at 6:30 PM

    Parents can depart for home anytime; but please let a Coach, Rep, or Shannon know you are leaving so we know we no longer need to account for you at Beaver Dam

    BEAVER DAM SWIMMING CLUB is located in Cockeysville, Maryland. It covers about 30 acres. We are known for our fresh water quarry and our infamous rope swing. Come spend a fun-filled day with us, swimming in either one of our two pools (up to 5' deep) OR, for STRONG SWIMMERS, the quarry (average depth 40'). After swimming, take a break and enjoy some volleyball on one of our sand volleyball courts. If relaxing is more your interest, we have shaded areas with grills (16" X 16") for picnics and cookouts. You may bring your own food and drinks (BUT NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES) or stop by our snack bar for a quick bite to eat.

    CHALK IT UP: Arrive at 7:30am if you would like to decorate the walkway outside the gate with some artwork welcoming North Creek to our pool. Chalk is provided, but feel free to donate.

    DECLARE YOUR SWIMMERS: Please go on-line and declare your swimmers either AVAILABLE or NOT AVAILABLE for the meet. You really should have already completed this as Coach Julia is currently making the lineup.

    VOLUNTEER: While you are declaring your swimmer is AVAILABLE, SIGN-UP to volunteer for a position at this week's meet.
