A Meet - Lake Marion (Away)

Warm-up: 8:20 AM
Who: Plantations Piranhas vrs Lake Marion Lazers What: Our theme is Hawaiian. Please dress accordingly (this means you too parents) Where: Lake Marion Pool Address: 8821 East Village Ave, Montgomery Village, MD 20886 When: On Saturday Athletes should arrive by 8:00 AM for an 8:20 warm up. I'd like to meet in the parking lot and have the swimmers walk in as a team. There will be a few parking spots reserved for our team until 8:30 in their lower lot. After that parking in the lot will be on a first come first serve basis. Once the lot is full, parking will need to be in the neighborhood, please be mindful of the parking signage. If you need to park further away from the gate, there is a roundabout in the parking lot to drop your swimmer off at the door. Why: Because swimming is a great sport and we love watching our kids race! It's going to be hot hot hot so please bring water and or Gatorade! Lets have a great meet! Have a great day! Jenni |

Tie-Dye Friday!

Back by popular demand! We'll be tie-dying t-shirts for FREE after practice. Please bring a plain white cotton t-shirt in your size (you can buy them cheap at Michael's or Wal-Mart) placed in a gallon sized Ziplock bag (label the bag with your name) to practice. We'll iron on a Piranhas Logo while you are swimming and after practice you can tie-dye your shirt however you want! These will be perfect to wear to future swim meets and the Celebrate Damascus Parade! Tie-dying is open to all swimmers (including pre-team.) The pre-team is invited to come between 9:00 and 10:00 to tie-dye their shirts.

Details for our first A meet: Who: The Piranha’s will face off with the Long Branch Water Wizards. Where: Our home pool When: All swimmers should arrive no later than 7:50 AM for an 8:00 AM scheduled warm up. The meet will begin promptly at 9:00 AM Theme: Our first meet theme is Outer Space. Come decked out in all things outer space. Examples: Moon, Stars, planets, Aliens ect…. The deadline to sign up for Time Trials is Wednesday, June 5th. We will try to hold a make up the following Monday for those who can not attend. |

If you have any Piranha gear that your swimmer has outgrown and is still in good condition, please bring it to practice and put it in the bin on the team rep/coaches table. We will collect all of the items and have them at Time Trials for first come, first served distribution. There will also be a drop off starting Monday June 3rd at the Gregory's Home 23801 Echo Creek Court Gaithersburg (Right off Woodfield School Road) prior to Time Trials as well. |

Ice Cream Social (After Each Practice)

The annual ice cream social will be held directly after each practice on Friday, June 7th . Parents -- we need your help with this event. Volunteer opportunities for set up, servers, and clean-up are posted on the team site. It’s a fun and easy way (you’ll likely be there anyway) to keep the kids smiling. Please drop off all donations by 4:30pm on Friday so that we are ready to go at 4:45pm for the older kids. Thank you in advance for your donations.
